Camp Casa Mare on Galveston Bay is a tropical paradise for ocean lovers and landlubbers alike. The warm, salty breezes, the call of the gulls and the sight of sailboats gliding across the day provide the perfect setting for seaside summer camp fun. Special interest sessions include sailing and water sports, while fencing, drama and land sports round out the camp offerings, in addition to traditional camp activities. Campers will stay dormitories of 9-32 girls each. Horseback riding is the main attraction at Camp Misty Meadows. The Robert and Janice McNair Equestrian Center includes four riding arenas and a herd of 40 horses, waiting to be loved, hugged, groomed and ridden by campers. In addition to four-legged attractions, camp offers a pool, archery range, rifle range, and traditional summer camp activities such as making crafts. First Aid Badge Workshop for Brownies and Juniors

Girl Activity Refunds

Refunds may be issued with a minimum of two weeks cancelation notice to Council (three weeks for equitation programs) by emailing registration@sjgs.org or calling 713-292-0370. The troop or individual has the option to transfer into another GSSJC activity or receive a refund.

NOTE: Consideration will be given in the event the request is the result of an illness, injury or death in the family. The registrar and activity manager will determine if a refund is to be issued and if the refund will be full or partial.
