The Cookies are Coming!
Hundreds will line up Feb. 7 to pick up thousands of boxes of Girl Scout cookies

(Jan. 12, 2009) – For almost a month, young entrepreneurs-in-training have been taking orders for cookies as part of the country’s premier financial literacy program for girls - the annual Girl Scout cookie sale. On Saturday, Feb. 7, hundreds of Girl Scouts and their parents will line up at Graebel Warehouse, located at 10901 Tanner Rd., to pick up box after box of delicious Girl Scout cookies, which will then be delivered to anxious customers.

PHOTO OP: Amidst delivery trucks, forklifts and endless rows of cookie cases, a couple hundred volunteers will work their way down a long line of waiting cars to fill cookie orders.

There’s still time to satisfy your cookie craving! Beginning February 20, girls will be offering cookies at cookie booths outside of grocery stores and other retail venues. The sale ends March 29. The public can call 1-888-GS-COOKIE or visit www.gssjc.org to enter their zip code and be directed to the nearest Girl Scout Cookie Booth.
