Chefs Work with Cookies, Cookies and More Cookies at Girl Scout Signature Dessert Event!
HOUSTON (Feb. 17, 2009) – Some of the finest chefs in Houston and the surrounding areas will gather tomorrow evening for Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council’s annual Just Desserts event. Cookie lovers are in for a sweet treat as chefs are teamed up with young Girl Scouts to make desserts from Girl Scout cookies and compete for multiple titles. The event preludes “Cookie Booth” sales which begin Feb. 20. Girl Scouts will sell cookies outside neighborhood grocery stores through March 29.
Celebrity judges will try the decadent desserts to pick the winners for Best Use of Cookie, Most Delicious, Most Enthusiastic, Most Fun Table Display, Girl Scout Judges Favorite, Most Creative Recipe, Best Dessert Presentation, Celebrity Judges Favorite and People’s Choice Award.

There’s still time to satisfy your cookie craving! Beginning February 20, girls will be offering cookies at cookie booths outside of grocery stores and other retail venues. The sale ends March 29.
