Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council Welcomes Humble Resident
Debbie Prosperie-Woodson to Board of Directors
HOUSTON (June 1, 2010) – Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council welcomes Debbie Prosperie-Woodson as a member-at-large of the Council’s board of directors, effective June 1. Prosperie-Woodson assumes her role as the Council prepares to host the 52nd National Convention of Girl Scouts of the USA in November 2011, a celebration that is also expected to launch the 100th anniversary celebration of Girl Scouting in the United States.
In her role, Prosperie-Woodson will help provide strategic guidance and leadership to one of the largest Girl Scout councils in the country, with more than 72,000 girls served and 17,000 adult volunteers across 26 southeast Texas counties. Prosperie-Woodson recently chaired the Council’s successful Power of a Promise event in 2009.
