Volunteer Basics

Welcome to the Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council Volunteer Basics series!

These videos are available for all adults and volunteers to access and use. More videos will become available as topics are developed. 

To be appointed to the Troop Leader role, a volunteer must select the Troop Leader role, be a registered member of Girl Scouts of the USA, complete the volunteer screening process for Girl Scouts of San Jacinto and view the following three videos and complete and submit the knowledge check that follows the videos:

  • Safety Basics
  • Troop/Group Basics
  • Financial Basics

After viewing the videos, please complete the Knowledge Check to receive credit for completion. Submission of the answers to the Knowledge Check is one of the requirements to be appointed as a troop leader.

Volunteer Toolkit Finance Tab Information

The Volunteer Toolkit Finance Tab is a fast and easy way to submit a troop/group's annual financial report, known as F-31, and related documents.

The below training video provides a demonstration of this time-saving online tool along with tips and best practices.
