Girl Scout Center, surrounding service centers and Beaumont to reopen Tuesday, Sept. 5

Our thoughts are with everyone affected by Hurricane Harvey. In light of ongoing recovery efforts across much of our community, we have made the decision to close the Girl Scout Center, surrounding service centers and the Beaumont Service Center through the end of this week. We anticipate reopening the GSC and all service centers on Tuesday, September 5.

How to Help

In times of need, Girl Scouts are among the first to respond. We have received so many messages of support and requests to offer assistance – our hearts are full! Donations to support our community’s broad recovery needs should be made through United Way of Greater Houston and the American Red Cross.

If you are in one of the affected areas and were personally impacted by the storm, we are so sorry for your loss and are hopeful that you are safe and may begin the recovery process. If you were not impacted by the storm, we encourage you to put on a Girl Scout T-shirt and get out there and volunteer to support those who were impacted. The need in our community is so great.

For those interested in donating to a special fund to help replace girls’ vests, sashes and handbooks, please stand by and we will share more information on how to help with Girl Scouts supplies.
