After being chosen for a destinations, Girl Scouts are responsible for raising the funds to go on the trip through selling cookies, money earned at a job or personal savings.
Hayley's destination, titled Hollywood Dreamin', took her to Los Angeles where she had the opportunity to learn about cinematography. She went on a private studio tour, visited the Hollywood sign, and even helped write a short film that was entered into the Los Angeles Digital Short Film Festival.
"I enjoyed being able to use a camera to tell a story," said Haley. "The most challenging part was working on a team and replying on one part of the team to complete their job so I could do mine."
