GRIT (Girl Rifle Instruction & Training) Special Interest Group (2023-2024 Membership Year)

This sign-up represents participation in the G.R.I.T. (Girls, Rifles, Instruction & Training) Special Interest Group (SIG) from August 2023 -July 2024. Must have completed Intro to Rifle and Rifle Marksmanship in order to join GRIT. MUST BE 12 TO PARTICIPATE.

Participants will have the chance to connect to other Girl Scouts with an interest in riflery. Girls will improve their marksmanship, learn about safety, and have the opportunity to introduce others to this unique sport.

Hosted by: GSSJC at Misty Meadows Ranch, Conroe

When: The SIG meets year-round monthly. Occasionally, additional meetings/activities are held. Information/instructions for the monthly meeting schedule will be shared after registration is completed.

Drop-off and Supervision: This is a drop-off event, adults who are not facilitating do not stay (Girl Scout ratio will be met by facilitators).

Adult Requirements: Adults who wish to help facilitate can sign up through this registration. This event requires active adult participation, so all facilitating adults must have a current membership and background check.

Tagalongs: No tagalongs are allowed at this event.

Bring: Girl Permission Slip/Medical Form or Adult Emergency Slip (These will be collected at the first in-person meeting attended and kept on-file so they only need to be supplied once for meetings but additional permission slips may be needed for non-meeting activities.)
