Volunteer Appreciation - A Year-round Effort
Nominations for formal adult recognition are closed for the 2025-2026 membership year, but appreciating and recognizing the efforts of GSSJC volunteers continues year-round!
Here are some tips to recognize volunteers in your community:
- Use the Outstanding Volunteer (individuals) or Outstanding Leadership Team (troop/group leadership team) awards to thank volunteers locally.
- Host an event to thank volunteers during Volunteer Appreciation Month in April.
- Celebrate Leader Appreciation Day on April 22!
- Read the Adult Recognition Guide for more ideas on formal and informal appreciation.

Adult Recognition Ceremony
Thank you for your interest in the 2026 Adult Recognition Ceremony. Registration for both the ceremony and Green Angels is now closed. We look forward to celebrating our volunteers at camp this year. If you’re unable to join us, we hope to celebrate with you next year. More information will be shared in early January— please check back for updates!
