Our volunteers work hard to create a safe, fun environment where Girl Scouts can learn to lead. They spend countless hours balancing their volunteer commitments with their own busy lives so girls can enjoy an exceptional Girl Scout experience. Showing appreciation for our volunteers is a cherished Girl Scout tradition!
Here are some ways to get started with adult recognition:
Submit your own service hours for the Jewels of GSSJC Service Hour Award by Oct. 31 for the previous membership year.
Use the Outstanding Volunteer (individuals) or Outstanding Leadership Team (troop/group leadership team) awards to thank volunteers in your home community.
Gather two other volunteers and each write a letter of endorsement to accompany a formal nomination of award (formal nominations open on Dec. 1).
Attend an upcoming Thanks a Million virtual training to learn more about national and council recognitions.
Host an event to thank volunteers during Volunteer Appreciation Month in April.
Celebrate Leader Appreciation Day on April 22!

Individual Letters of Endorsement
The Adult Recognition Committee is seeking letters of nomination for volunteers you believe deserve to be recognized!
Do you know a volunteer who has done incredible service for Girl Scouts and hasn’t received an award recently? We’ve opened a new digital nomination letter form to collect individual letters of support for volunteers. Read more about this opportunity on the F-54A Letter of Endorsement Digital information sheet.
If you choose to use the legacy forms and process to nominate a volunteer for an award, that process remains in place and will open for nominations on Dec. 1.
Adult Recognition Ceremony - Save the Date!
Save the date for the Adult Recognition Ceremony and Annual Meeting on April 17, 2027, at Camp Agnes Arnold in Conroe!
Details and registration for the event will be announced in January 2027. Check back for updates!
