In 1922, a decade after Juliette Gordon Low initiated the Girl Scout movement in Savannah, Georgia, a troop was established in Houston, TX. Presently, the Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council (GSSJC) is guided by a chief executive officer, council board of directors, dedicated staff, and numerous volunteers spanning across 26 counties. These exemplary individuals provide unwavering support, envision a brighter future, and exhibit unwavering dedication. Through their guidance, Girl Scouts are empowered to discover their potential and develop into leaders within their communities and on a global scale.
Dear Girl Scouts and Families,
It is with immense joy and pride that I extend to you a warm and hearty welcome to another exciting year with Girl Scouts! As your Girl Scout CEO, I am thrilled to embark on this journey alongside each and every one of you. The Girl Scout experience is about adventure, growth, and making lifelong memories. It's about fostering courage, confidence, and character in our girls while instilling values that will guide them through life. Our Girl Scout community is a place where dreams take flight, friendships are forged, and leadership is nurtured.
This year, we are set to explore new horizons, embrace fresh challenges, and celebrate our collective achievements. Whether you're a Daisy, Brownie, Junior, Cadette, Senior, or Ambassador, there are countless opportunities awaiting you. From outdoor adventures to STEM experiments, community service to leadership training, we have an array of enriching activities and programs planned.
Our dedicated troop leaders, volunteers, and staff members are here to support you every step of the way. They are passionate about your growth and development, and they are excited to see all that you can achieve this year.I encourage you to make the most of your Girl Scout experience.
