Selling Girl Scout Cookies® is one of the most iconic activities Girl Scouts engage in. But that’s just one piece of the story.

As participants in the Girl Scout Cookie Program, Girl Scouts also gain five skills as they build their business smarts, earn money for activities they choose, and prepare for amazing adventures that last a lifetime.

The cookie program has many ways for Girl Scouts to run their cookie business. Girl Scouts can choose the selling method that works best for them. Read the Ways to Participate and review the Family Cookie Guide for more details.
Learn how cookie inventory works and find tips for selling in the Family Cookie Guide. Once your Girl Scout starts her cookie business, track her inventory using the My Cookie Inventory Worksheet Template.
Girl Scouts may also use printable door hangers, “Need more Cookies?” stickers, and Thank You cards to boost their entrepreneurship skills.

How to Get Your Troop Started toggle arrow

Participating troops need a troop cookie manager. Choose a troop volunteer to be the troop cookie manager and have them declare their role in their myGS account.
- The cookie program uses two cookie sites: ABC Smart Cookies and Digital Cookie. These sites allow troop cookie managers to manage the cookie program. To gain access to these sites, troop cookie managers (TCMs) must complete certain requirements. Check out the Volunteer Onboarding Process section to complete the reuirements.
Make sure participating Girl Scouts in your troop are registered for the 2025-2026 membership year.
Visit the Cookie-Troop group in the Online Community to access all things cookies. This is a one-stop shop for resources, links, announcements, video tutorials, webinar links, recordings, and more!

- First time participating in the cookie program? Use our Rookie Cookie Guide to ease you into the program.
Host a family meeting to discuss the 2026 cookie program and have parents/caregivers complete the Parent/Caregiver Permission Form. Next, set individual and troop goals and recruit parents/caregivers to help support you during the program. Remind parents and caregivers to add zeros when entering the troop number on the permission form. For example, Troop 123 should be entered as Troop 00123.

New and returning troops can use the 2026 SIO worksheets to plan their starting inventory order, ensuring they have cookies on hand for the first weekend of booths. Worksheets are in the Starting Inventory Order folder under Documents in the Online Community. Troop cookie managers must be signed in to access them.

Help your troop have a successful cookie season! As a troop cookie manager, you’ll support girls as they learn goal-setting, manage finances, and shine in their sales.

📦 Cookie Cupboard Volunteer

Assist with distributing cookies to troops in your area. It’s a hands-on way to keep the cookie-magic flowing! Sign up for a Cookie Cupboard Volunteer shift!

🚛 Mega Drop Volunteer

Help make the magic happen at our large-scale cookie delivery events, where cookies are distributed to volunteers and troops across our council. Sign up for a mega drop volunteer shift at one of our convenient locations!

Volunteer Onboarding Process toggle arrow

Access the Product Sales Volunteer Onboarding Process site using your myGS credentials to verify which requirements are outstanding/completed to permit onboarding into the ABC Smart Cookies site.
Register for the 2025-2026 membership year.
Add role as troop cookie manager in your MyGS account.
Current, clear background check (automated when role is added in your MyGS account).
Select Primary/Secondary manager role on gssjc.me/cookies. This ensures each troop cookie manager is properly uploaded into the cookie site.
Review and abide by Troop Cookie Manager Position Description. You can find link on gssjc.me/cookies. Simply click “View Form” beside TCM Position Description.
Verify F-36 Registration of Bank Account and ACH Authorization form has been submitted. To complete electronically, visit the Online Community under Cookie–Troop and click the BankInfo tab.
Complete training on gsLearn. No registration required.
Complete Youth Protection Training Level 1 within the past three years or Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Training.
