Jan. 9 - Troops place starting inventory orders to begin the cookie program with cookies in hand.

Jan. 26 - Webinar: Cookies 101 for Families.

Jan. 28 - Starting inventory order cookie deliveries begin.

Feb. 7 - Girl Scout Cookie Program starts! Girls may begin selling with cookies in hand, by order card, or sharing their link online.

Feb. 13 - Cookie booths and cookie stands start at 4 p.m.

Feb. 20 to 22 - National Girl Scout Cookie Weekend.

March 22 - Girl Scout Cookie Program ends.

Girl Scout Cookies cost $6 per package. To ensure our Girl Scouts are rewarded for their efforts, troops can earn funds for activities and support their Girl Scouting experience. The program proceeds are listed below.

Girl Scout Cookies:

Cover the costs of running the Girl Scout Cookie Program, including the costs of cookies, materials, and logistics.
Fund Take Action projects for the community and amazing girl-led adventures for troops.
Help the council provide Girl Scout programs in STEM, the outdoors, life skills, and entrepreneurship, as well as camps, leadership training, and more!

How does a package of cookies support Girl Scouts?

60% supports local programs like horseback riding, STEM programs, camp, and so much more.
21% covers the costs of the cookie program and vendor costs.
19% goes to troop proceeds and girl recognitions.

How to Help Your Girl Participate toggle arrow

Here's how your girl can participate in the cookie program:

Make sure your Girl Scout is registered for the 2026 membership year.
Complete the Parent/Guardian Permission Slip When completing the permission form, add zeros before the troop number if it is under five digits. For example, Troop 123 will be Troop 00123.
Review the Cookie Family Guide.
Attend your troop’s cookie meeting. Get essential information about the opportunities and responsibilities of the cookie program.

Sign up to volunteer at a cookie “mega drop,” where troops pick up their starting inventory as cookies are unloaded from 18-wheelers. Volunteers help load cars, direct traffic, manage check-in and checkout, and count inventory. It’s a fun, community-driven day! Volunteers must be 18 or older — choose the location nearest you.

There are various ways Girl Scouts can navigate their cookie business. Girl Scouts can choose which method of selling works best for them.

Door-to-Door selling: Girls go door to door to homes in their neighborhood selling with packages in hand.
Digital Selling: Use Smart Cookies e-cards, social media links, QR codes, and more.
Cookie booths: Your TCM can reserve cookie booths at business locations where girls can set up a table to sell their packages of cookies.
Cookie stands: Parents and girls can set up a table to sell cookies at their home similar to a lemonade stand.
Walkabout: Girls gather with their troopmates and take their neighborhoods by storm in this door-to-door style selling method.

Add role as troop cookie manager in your myGS account. Review and abide by the troop cookie manager role, tasks and requirements.
Current, clear background check (automated when role is added in your myGS account).
Select Primary/Secondary manager role on gssjc.me/cookies. This ensures each troop cookie manager is properly uploaded into the cookie site.
Verify F-36 Registration of Bank Account and ACH Authorization form has been submitted. To complete electronically, visit the Online Community under Cookie–Troop and click the BankInfo tab.
Complete training on gsLearn.. No registration required.
Complete GSUSA Girl Scout Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Course on gsLearn.
Review and abide by Troop Cookie Manager Position Description.
