Girl Scout camp is a place where girls discover new interests, build confidence, and create unforgettable memories. Surrounded by nature, they can take on new challenges, learn valuable skills, and make lasting friendships with girls from different communities and backgrounds.
Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council offers a variety of camping experiences, each with its own unique setting, traditions, and adventures. Whether pedaling along scenic trails, paddling a canoe around an island, learning to sail, cooling off in the water, or riding horseback through the woods, girls can explore the outdoors in exciting new ways.
Camp provides a chance to unplug from everyday distractions, connect with nature, and discover what they're capable of achieving. Every adventure helps girls grow in independence, resilience, and confidence while having the time of their lives.
Camp Agnes Arnold 
Shadow Lake, located near Lake Conroe, is the centerpiece of Camp Agnes Arnold, offering 35 acres of outdoor adventure and waterfront fun for Girl Scouts. During their stay, girls can canoe, fish, and explore the lake, cool off in the swimming pool, hike the Peace Pole Trail, test their skills at the archery range overlooking the water, or borrow a bike to explore camp on two wheels.
The Nature Center features interactive displays highlighting local plants and wildlife, along with classroom space for hands-on learning. Nearby, a bird blind provides the perfect spot to observe wildlife along the shores of Shadow Lake. Camp Agnes Arnold also boasts an extensive network of hiking trails, including popular guided weekend hikes led by members of the Backpacking Special Interest Group. Girls who participate can earn a special hiking patch.
The camp is also home to the council's Adventure Park, an aerial ropes course where girls can strengthen teamwork skills.
Accommodations include platform tents, cabins, treehouse cabins, and the Fishing Village, situated along the edge of Shadow Lake. Camp Agnes Arnold also features the air-conditioned Ann Temple Allen Lodge, a library, classrooms, and an infirmary, providing comfort and convenience while girls enjoy the outdoors.
The camp is located within the Treelake complex, adjacent to Misty Meadows Ranch.
Casa Mare
The warm, salty breezes, the call of gulls, and the sight of sailboats gliding across Galveston Bay make Casa Mare a coastal paradise for ocean lovers and adventure seekers alike. Located in Seabrook, Casa Mare is the perfect destination for waterfront fun and an ideal home base for exploring nearby Galveston and Kemah.
Home to the council’s Mariners sailing program, Casa Mare offers a variety of outdoor amenities, including a fishing pier, a beachside volleyball court, a swimming pool, a covered pavilion, and an archery range.
Overnight guests stay in comfortable, climate-controlled dormitories. The camp also features an air-conditioned galley with classroom space, as well as the Margaret Sheriff Sailing Center, which provides additional classroom facilities for sailing instruction and houses the camp’s sailboat fleet.

Misty Meadows Ranch
Misty Meadows Ranch was recognized by Newsweek as one of the Best Summer Camps in America for 2023.
Located near Conroe, Misty Meadows Ranch is a favorite destination for girls who love horses, the outdoors, and adventure. The camp's McNair Equestrian Center is home to a herd of 40 horses and serves as the heart of the camp experience. Girl Scouts can participate in the popular Pony Pals program, take horseback riding lessons, or enjoy watching the horses play and graze in the ranch's expansive pastures.
Beyond the stables, campers can test their skills at the archery and rifle ranges, cool off in the swimming pool, and interact with friendly farm animals, including goats and chickens.
During the summer, Misty Meadows Ranch hosts one of GSSJC's three overnight camp programs, offering girls unforgettable overnight adventures and opportunities to build confidence, independence, and lifelong friendships.
Accommodations include climate-controlled cabins and dormitories for a comfortable stay. The camp also features a modern infirmary, a covered pavilion, and the air-conditioned Wortham Lodge, which includes classrooms and a stage for programs and events. Misty Meadows Ranch is located within the Treelake complex, adjacent to Camp Agnes Arnold.

Galveston Bay House
Designed as both a comfortable lodging destination and a gateway to adventure, the Galveston Bay House gives Girl Scouts the perfect home base for exploring Galveston Island and its many attractions. Nestled on seven scenic acres, the property features natural water areas and ample outdoor space for exploration, recreation, and hands-on learning.
The Galveston Bay House can accommodate up to 30 girls and two troops, making it an ideal setting for troop retreats, weekend getaways, and coastal adventures. Whether discovering local history, visiting island attractions, or enjoying the natural beauty of the Texas coast, Girl Scouts will find endless opportunities to learn, explore, and create lasting memories.

Camp Pryor
Located along the Colorado River near Nada, Camp Pryor offers Girl Scouts a peaceful outdoor retreat filled with adventure and exploration. Girls can enjoy weekend horseback riding, stroll the sandy banks of the Colorado River, learn outdoor cooking skills, and explore the camp's scenic trails.
Camp Pryor continues to evolve through ongoing enhancements, including the addition of newly developed lake and ranch activity areas. Campers can stay in the Wildflower Cabin Cluster, participate in programs at the Mamie E. George Activity Center, or gather with friends and family at the DeSanctis Family Gathering Pavilion.
The camp's amenities include a swimming pool, a lake, flexible program spaces, and comfortable cabin accommodations located throughout the property. Whether girls are discovering new outdoor skills, connecting with nature, or creating lasting memories with friends, Camp Pryor provides an ideal setting for adventure and growth.

Camp Robinwood
Camp Robinwood, located near Willis, offers Girl Scouts a beautiful outdoor setting with a variety of accommodations, activities, and opportunities for adventure. At the heart of the camp is Lake Ann, where girls can enjoy canoeing and other waterfront activities while taking in the area's natural beauty.
Camp Robinwood is also home to the council's archery program, Archers in Motion (AIM), and popular Carousel weekend programs, giving girls unique opportunities to build skills, confidence, and friendships.
Accommodations range from platform tents and cabins to dormitory-style lodging, providing options for every camping experience. The camp also features a library and nature center that support both exploration and learning.
Located just minutes from Camp Agnes Arnold and Misty Meadows Ranch, Camp Robinwood serves as an excellent base for a weekend of adventure. Troops can expand their experience by participating in activities at neighboring camps, including hiking, horseback riding, and other outdoor programs.

Nestled in the Piney Woods of East Texas, Camp Whispering Pines in Garrison offers Girl Scouts a peaceful escape into nature. Girls can spend their days exploring wooded trails, discovering local wildlife, and taking in scenic lake views from the camp's observation deck.
Beyond its natural beauty, Camp Whispering Pines serves as a gateway to many of East Texas's unique attractions, including the Texas Forestry Museum, the Texas State Railroad, and other regional destinations that celebrate the area's rich history and natural resources.
Accommodations include platform tents, teepees, cabins, and dormitory-style lodging, offering options for every type of camping experience.
