Camp is a place where girls can make new friends, explore the world around them, and discover something they can’t wait to do again. It’s a place where transformation happens in an environment created just for them. Girls learn real-life skills, develop self-esteem, and gain a sense of independence and community.
Girl Scouts of San Jacinto offers summer overnight camp at three different camp properties. Each camp provides a unique experience to fit your Girl Scout's interests. Visit our camp pages below for more details about what girls can expect to discover at each camp, or review our Summer Camp Guide.
Day camp sessions at Misty Meadows Ranch and Camp Agnes Arnold: Each week, Brownies may attend a full week of day camp Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Girls have the option of staying overnight on Thursday. It’s the perfect way for campers to experience camp life and get ready for a full week of overnight camp in 2027! You can find more details on Page 3 of the summer guide.
New Weekly Schedule: Weekly sessions will now run Sunday through Friday. Campers will enjoy six hours of activities on Friday before parents arrive for the parent ceremony at 4 p.m. This change allows families to experience the camp environment.
Half/Mini Weeks: Sessions will now run from Sunday to Tuesday or Wednesday to Friday. Checkout days will follow the same schedule as full weeks.
Counselor-In-Training: Seniors and Ambassadors can sign up for our Counselor-In-Training session at overnight and day camp (NEW) to learn how to become a future camp leader (see Page 23 of the summer camp guide).
Campers will receive a $50 discount on their second week of overnight camp and a $25 discount on their second week of day camp. The multi-week discount applies only to multiple overnight sessions or multiple day camp sessions. Family sessions are not eligible.
Families with more than one camper will receive a 10% discount on the camp session for each additional sibling after the first registered camper.
Definition of Girl Scout Camping
Camping is a
fun-filled, character-building experience that girls can try out for
short periods of time. Outdoor settings provide us with a remarkable
opportunity to take girls from many backgrounds and put them together
on neutral territory and let them get to know one another. Where else
can they so easily mingle, have fun, and learn new skills? The one
place where the best in Girl Scouting converges is Girl Scout camp.
Fun, challenges, adventures, and friendships in a camp setting are
small versions-child sized versions-of real life. The camping program
captures the essence of everything Girl Scouting stands for and helps
girls ‘to do.’ It is up to us to make certain that this important part
of Girl Scouting remains part of the future of the girls in the movement.
