Rising Leader Day ~ Volunteer in Training

NOTE: This session of Volunteer in Training is a part of the in-person Rising Leaders Day at the Girl Scout Center. Seniors and Ambassadors can choose to attend this session OR Going Gold: Highest Awards Project Workshopping. Girls must bring their own lunch.

Take your leadership to the next level with Volunteer in Training! During this Volunteer in Training training you will learn how to work with younger kids, and to plan and lead fun, inclusive activities for them! Create meaningful experiences that help younger Girl Scouts learn, grow, and feel included while making a lasting impact as a mentor and leader. After taking this Volunteer in Training training, you will be ready to work with a troop to plan and lead two full meetings for younger girls with a variety of activities. Note: taking this Volunteer in Training training is the first step toward earning your Volunteer in Training pin. Additional "in action" components are required.

Taking the Volunteer in Training training is the first step toward earning your Volunteer in Training pin. Additional "in action" components are required. To earn the Volunteer in Training award and purchase your pin, to work with a troop to plan and lead two full meetings for younger girls with a variety of activities.

Volunteer in Training is a part of the Teaching Leadership Awards progression: Junior Aide, Program Aide, Volunteer in Training, and Counselor in Training I/II.

Volunteer in Training is a prerequisite option for the Gold Award.

Drop-off and Supervision: This is a drop-off event. Girl Scout ratio of adults will be provided by the facilitators and adults signed up to attend the event.

Tagalongs: No tagalongs are allowed at this event.

Bring: GIRLS - F-204 Girl Permission Slip, F-185 Girl Medical Form, ADULTS - F-22 Adult Emergency Slip, Girls and Adults - F-1157 Assumption of Risk
