Magna Cayll has been a dedicated Girl Scout volunteer for over 22 years. Always willing to lend her support wherever needed, she is actively involved in Girl Scout's Colony Creek Community, serving as a council facilitator and a member of the Silver Award Committee. In addition, she participates in the council's Hispanic Engagement Initiative.
Magna began her journey in 2002 as a Daisy troop leader. She later joined her service unit - a group of volunteers that work in their local area to support troops - as the librarian, managing resources for troop leaders to check out from Colony Creek. The Community serves girls in the Sugar Land and Missouri City areas.
In 2008, she became the co-director of the Community's twilight camp. She continues to serve the Community in various roles, including providing camp security and contributing to the committee that plans twilight camp.
She enjoys working with Girl Scouts at all levels and watching them grow into capable leaders. As a program aide trainer, she provides guidance and knowledge to girls, enabling them to lead younger Girl Scouts. Magna also has assisted with bridging ceremonies, coordinating girl volunteers, and teaching outdoor skills.
Additionally, Magna is actively involved in our Highest Award committees. She volunteers as a Highest Award trainer and serves on the Silver Award Committee. Recently, she helped create a Bronze Award Project Guide in Spanish and helped develop a new role, the Highest Awards advocate.
Magna is a talented council facilitator, training leaders across the council. She also provides training for Spanish-speaking leaders in the Hispanic Community Engagement group. Additionally, she has played a crucial role in promoting and celebrating the accomplishments of girls earning the Highest Awards and volunteers within this group.
In recognition of her contributions, Magna has received several Girl Scout awards for adult volunteers, most recently the Honor Pin in 2025.
