Nineteen Gold Award Girl Scouts received a total of $31,000 in
scholarship money from the Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Emerald Circle
during the council's recent Gold Award ceremony.
The
Emerald Circle is a Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council
membership-based organization founded in 1992. The circle's
scholarship selection committee awards scholarships to outstanding
Gold Award recipients to help them as they work to achieve their
dreams of a higher education and continue the hallmarks of Girl
Scouting— service and leadership. Scholarships are awarded one time,
range from $1,000-3,000, and are funded entirely by members of The
Emerald Circle.
