International Day of the Girl

It's not just a day - it's a movement!

Get ready to celebrate International Day of the Girl on Oct. 11! The United Nations created the observance to emphasize girls worldwide and bring awareness to the challenges and opportunities for girls around the globe. It's a day to celebrate ALL girls and their incredible potential to change the world.

As the largest girl-led organization, Girl Scouts supports girls on their path to making a difference in the world. Join us for Girl Scouts of San Jacinto Council's virtual Day of the Girl celebration on Oct. 11. Be sure to invite other girls to join Girl Scouts and attend this exhilarating event with you!

We'll have one of our Girl Scouts share her story of earning her Gold Award and interview celebrity guest Jordan Chiles, a U.S. Olympic gymnast and medalist. Registration is now open!

We don't think one day is enough to celebrate girls. So, GSSJC will host a week of Day of the Girl activities from Oct. 9-16. We're inviting every girl and volunteer to join the fun! The first 1,500 girls to complete a Day of the Girl activity on the activity flyer will receive a free Day of the Girl patch!

Remember, don’t think big, think GIANT!
