Can you be an Arctic Survivor?  Can you build an igloo?  Design a parachute?  Create a snowball thrower?  Make an insulated blanket?

Join other Juniors and learn how to work as a team to solve engineering challenges.  Juniors will rotate through the engineering design challenges and project roles including Project Manager, Materials Manager, Chief Architect, or Master Builder.  Older Girl Scouts will serve as team captains for each group.
Girls will complete the requirements of the Think Like an Engineer badge (Steps 1-3).  Troops can complete their Take Action Project separately to complete this Journey.
Note:  No at-the-door registrations or registration changes are accepted. Please be diligent in ensuring the correct girls are registered so materials can be prepared appropriately. Any registrant swaps should be completed at least 3 weeks in advance, so they can be facilitated before the cancellation deadline. No early departures. Troops must stay until Sunday AM and complete kapers prior to leaving camp.

Program materials and the earned badge are provided.  Saturday breakfast, lunch, and dinner plus Sunday breakfast are provided. Attendees will receive their lodging assignments at check-in. Participants and their leaders will be staying at Goody's Treehouses elevated cabins, Tanglewood elevated cabins or Fishing Village cabins. Some of these lodging units do not have AC or heat. Multiple troops will be sharing each unit and girls from different troops may be sharing a cabin. Any accommodations needed such as dietary restrictions or housing needs should be emailed to Customer Service by November 21.

Hosted by: GSSJC at Camp Arnold
Drop-off and Supervision:  This is NOT a drop-off event; Girl Scout ratio of adults are required to attend and must register. Each troop must have an adult that has completed Camping and Overnight Basics (COB) or the legacy Outdoor Certification Program.  Due to space constraints, please only register the minimum number of adults required by safety ratios listed in Volunteer Essentials (2:16)
Adult Requirements: This event requires active adult participation to be a success. All adults registering will be expected to assist with adult kapers as a room chaperone, meal server or dishwasher. As program will be led by the team captains, bring a book or your hiking shoes to enjoy camp outside of your assigned kaper time. All adults must have a current membership, background check, and Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Training. A mandatory adult meeting will be held on Friday night at 9:30PM.  One leader from each troop should attend.
