Council Cook Training is designed to teach leaders the
essentials of food safety, preparation, service, and planning for
large and small groups. In addition to covering food safety
best-practices and cooking methods this training will also cover
how to effectively utilize camp kitchen resources and facilities.
This course includes a combination of in-class and hands-on
learning. Because this training requires hands on experience it is
paired with an existing community or council overnight event where
registrants will learn by assisting in the food service needs of
the event alongside the Facilitators. Indoor accommodations will
be provided for all registrations covered by your registration
fee. Space is limited so register early!
Prerequisite: In compliance with the Texas Administrative
Code and the Department of Health and Safety this course requires
