Lifeguard Certification

Participants learn skills that will allow them to fulfill the lifeguard requirement for girls' water adventures. On Friday, preliminary swim testing is done through a front crawl, breaststroke, treading water, and underwater item retrieval. An online portion will be required to be completed prior to class. Please note to pass lifeguarding you must make at least an 80 percent on the online portion, pass your preliminary swim test, and pass skill assessments throughout the class.

COVID-19 Guidelines: This event will adhere to GSSJC covid-19 guidelines that are active during the time of the event. Per CDC guidelines issued July 27, 2021, masks are highly recommended indoors and not required outdoors. Rapid testing may be required upon arrival at camp and will be determined based on test availability and nature of program plan/participation.
