Welcome to G.R.I.T. (Girls, Rifles, Instruction & Training) Special Interest Group (SIG). Participants will have the chance to connect to other Girl Scouts with an interest in riflery. Girls will improve their marksmanship, learn about safety, and gain the opportunity to introduce others to this unique sport.
This is a year-round membership with monthly practices, meetings, and participation from September 2026-June 2027.
Adults who would like to be affiliated as a G.R.I.T. volunteer must register for this membership year.
Registration will be required for each practice or G.R.I.T. event. Please, check the events page for the most updated list of G.R.I.T. practice openings.
Prerequisites: G.R.I.T. members must be at least 12 years old and in the 6th grade. Members must complete an Intro to Rifle and Marksmanship session prior to registering for G.R.I.T.. Intro and Marksmanship can be completed on the same day.

Drop-off and Supervision This is NOT a drop-off event; Girl Scout ratio of adults are required to attend but do not need to register.
Adult Requirements: Any adults supervising girls outside of their family must have a current membership and background check.
