SPURS Training

Do you enjoy working with horses and want to share that with other girls on weekends at Misty during the school year? Spend a weekend at Misty learning the theories and hands-on skills needed to join the SPURS (Super People Using Riding Skills) special interest group at Misty Meadows Ranch! Participants who successfully complete training and pass a written exam will receive their level one SPURS scarf to be ready to work with the weekend riding program during the school year. No previous riding experience is necessary. Participants will be in cabin-style accommodations and must provide their own meals, bedding, and toiletries.

Drop-off and Supervision: This is a drop-off event; Girl Scout ratio of adults are NOT required to attend.

Tagalongs: No tagalongs are allowed at this event.

Bring: Girl Permission Slip (F-204 or F-204M), Medical Form (F-185), and Waiver (F-1157) or Adult Emergency Slip (F-22) and Waiver (F-1157), MMR Farm Waiver.
