Wranglers is the third level of the STARS program, which builds on the riding skills and knowledge gained in the earlier sessions. This session is open to girls in 6th through 12th grade who have completed both the Saddlehorns and Rustlers sessions. Girls will learn how to bridle a horse and will explore equine health and conformation. Horse safety will be reviewed, and riding skills performed at a walk and a trot. Girls will rotate through four sessions, including one riding session in the arena. The program begins with a Friday evening orientation. Rotations occur all day on Saturday. The program finishes with troop photos with the horses on Sunday morning.
Check in will be between 8:30 and 9am. Event is anticipated to last until 5pm. This will be hosted at Misty Meadows Ranch.
Individual girls with a parent/guardian chaperone or troops with the required number of safety ratio are required to attend with their girls. Food is not provided.
