Renew early for another year of Girl Scout adventures!
Early Bird season has ended (May 31), but you can still renew your membership for the 2026-2027 Girl Scout year. By renewing early, girls can reserve their troop spot for the new year and look forward to another year of friendship and discoveries. Membership dues for 2026-2027 are $65 for girls and $30 for adults.

Why renew early?
When girls renew early, troop leaders will know if girls plan to return when school resumes in the fall and whether there are openings in the troop. Early Bird renewal:
- Helps troop leaders prepare for the next Girl Scout year before an influx of girls who want to join during back-to-school recruitment season.
- Gives parents peace of mind knowing their daughter will be in the same troop next year.
- Enables parents to mark one thing off their back-to-school lists.
- Offers fantastic perks and incentives.

$20 lifetime membership discount!
When you join as a lifetime member, $25 of your membership fee funds a year of Girl Scouting for a member in our council area. Each lifetime membership donation is tax-deductible.
Purchase a lifetime membership between April 11 and May 31 to receive a $20 discount:
- Lifetime membership: $380 (normally $400)
- Young Alumnae membership (under 30): $180 (normally $200)
- 10 Years of Service membership: $180 (normally $200)
In recent years, lifetime memberships have helped provide 30,000+ memberships to Girl Scouts across the country whose families otherwise would not have been able to afford them. Anyone who accepts the principles and beliefs of the Girl Scout movement and is 18 years of age or older can purchase a lifetime membership.

Meet Ruby the Roadrunner, our 2026 Early Bird mascot!
Roadrunners are incredibly fast, reaching up to 20 miles per hour – so they actually prefer to run rather than fly! Commonly found in the southwestern United States and Mexico, you’re likely to spot one right here in Texas! Let us tell you a little bit more about Ruby, this year’s Early Bird mascot:
- Habitat: Texas deserts and brushlands.
- Fun Fact: Ruby can slow her heart rate down at night to conserve energy.
- Favorite Snacks: Lizards, insects, and even small snakes!
- Favorite Girl Scout Cookie: Exploremores; just like Ruby, they’re sweet, strong, and ready for any road ahead … even a rocky one!
- Favorite Song: "Girls Run the World" (or " Life is a Highway").
- Favorite Badge: Trail Adventure; she’s already mastered it!
