Gold Award Orientation (In-Person)

Gold Award Orientation provides a comprehensive overview of the steps, forms, procedures, and resources available to successfully complete the Gold Award at the Girl Scouts of San Jacinto. Gold Award Orientation is required for all girls who plan to complete the Gold Award and recommended for any supporting adults (online only). This Gold Award Orientation offering will be in person at the Girl Scout Center.

Gold Award Orientation may be taken by any Senior or Ambassador, although girls are strongly encouraged to complete one Senior or Ambassador Journey before taking orientation.

At the end of Gold Award Orientation, after passing the quiz, girls will receive a confirmation of completion email containing their score (100% required) and the link to the Gold Award Mentor Lookbook. Girls should not reach out to a Gold Award Mentor until they have received their Gold Award Orientation confirmation of completion email. Providing proof of completion is required when contacting a potential Mentor.

Drop-off and Supervision: This is a drop-off event, adults do not need to register. Any adults that wish to stay may be asked to wait in an alternate location (Girl Scout ratio will be met by facilitators).

Tagalongs: No tagalongs are allowed at this event.

Bring: GIRLS - F-204 Girl Permission Slip, F-185 Girl Medical Form, ADULTS - F-22 Adult Emergency Slip, Girls and Adults - F-1157 Assumption of Risk
